Classes
We offer intermediate and advanced classes for dancers who are progressing in their classes. These levels require teacher placement. In-class and private evaluations can be scheduled at the artistic director's discretion to determine eligibility for new students or current students interested in adding new styles to their dance journey!
All styles of dance are offered in these levels. For dancers looking to join our performance company or pursue more opportunities in performing arts, we suggest taking at least 2 different styles. We also recommend taking the same style each year in order to see progression into intermediate and advanced classes.
Pre-Pointe & Pointe Classes
All pre-pointe and pointe classes are advanced level classes. Class placement is determined by teacher & artistic director evaluation.
At St. Augustine Dance Academy, we take your dancer's safety seriously. Dancers must work through The Perfect Pointe Book series by renowned dance physiotherapist Lisa Howell before progressing onto pointe. Our teachers attend each of your dancer's pointe shoe fittings to ensure the best fit and consult with your dancer throughout their pointe journey to give them the healthiest possible experience.
