AcroDance

AcroDance is the fusion of the artistic motion of dance and the athleticism of acrobatics. It is not the same as gymnastics. An AcroDancer must be able to complete all skills on a hard stage without the advantage of a sprung floor, while seamlessly integrating musicality, emotional expression, extension, control and line. Skills taught in AcroDance might look the same as gymnastics, but they are taught differently to compensate for these conditions.
Students will explore AcroDance while building strength, flexibility and coordination.  Students will progress from forward rolls, backward rolls, bridges and cartwheels to back walkovers, front walkovers and aerials.  All AcroDance faculty are trained to provide a safe and structured learning environment.
